7.René Schripsema |
René Schripsema
Rene is living in the Northern part of the Netherlands. Rene is the ultimate amateur inside the trailing circuit according to himself. About 13 years ago during a holiday in the UK, the trailing virus attacked him and back in Holland his First sheepdog Mutch was purchased. In the mean time he is the owner of 4 sheepdogs. Mutch is retired and with Jet and Moor his is trailing in the open class. With Jet he will start at the Continental. With Jet and Moor he will start at the World trial. The 4 dog, Lot, is still in training.
Due to his job as a Business Unit Director at a job agency (Randstad).it is not always easy to find time to train his dogs. He must make choices how to split his time. As a really family man, Rene likes his job and the rest of the time has to been split between family and training his dogs |

6.Eric with Lan |
Hi all,
My name is Erik Groot, I live in the North of Holland in a small town called Spanbroek. In 'normal' life I'm a cattle dealer, and together with my wife we also have a herd of sheeps (Texel).
In avarage we have aboud sixhundred sheeps over the year and the border collies are fully in use for all activities in and around the working place.
With Eryri-Nan I've competed 6 times during the Continental.
This year's Continental in Sweden I will compete with my younger dog Lan, a 3 year old dog.
I started Lan only last season. He did great, novice champion with the DSDS, Dutch Champion Dutch Course(practical work), and we placed ourselves for the Dutch continental team in only 3 trials.
I hope we will grow as a team and will achieve good results in the future.
See you in Sweden,
Eric Groot

1,2.Serge v d Zweep |
Hello, my name is Serge van der Zweep. Together with my wife Ellen and our two daugters, I’m living in Heteren, The Netherlands. Working sheepdogs are my life and passion. I feel very privileged that I could have made my profession out of my passion. So, since years now I train dogs everyday and I travel all over the world to share my knowledge about sheepdogs with other people.
Although I ran al lot of trials since years, every trial is a new challenge to work together with your dog, the best you can. I’m looking very much forward to this years Continental in Sweden with my dogs Eve and Jim! |

5.Ellen v d Zweep |
Hello my name is Ellen van der Zweep and I’m living in Heteren, The Netherlands, together with my husband Serge and our two daughters. I can’t imagine a life without sheepdogs and I’m very lucky that my husband and daughters think the same! We live on a nice farm with loads of dogs, sheep and beautiful fields to train on. Dogs and people have my great interest and I’m so happy that I can work my dogs every day. I like trialing my dogs and I think that running a dog on the highest level is top sport and teamwork. Therefore I invest a lot of time in it to get the best out of my dogs and myself. I’m looking forward to a challenging Continental in Sweden! |

3, 8.John Pluta |
Hello,
My name is John Pluta and I’m living in the south east of the Netherlands near the German and Belgium Border. I’m married with Belinda (my biggest fan) and have one daughter Kirsty.
After a whole day in the office, it’s the ultimate feeling to train with my Killiebrae dogs and work with my 165 sheep (German Heidschnucken).
Since 2004 I’m competing in trials with my Killiebrae dogs Jake, KJ, and my youngster Spot.
This is the fourth time I enter the Dutch Team. 3 times for the Continental and one time for the World Trial.
In 2008 KJ (Killiebrae Joe) reached the semi finals on the World Trial and he has a great list of achievements.
This year I will be running KJ and Jake is the second reserve in Sweden. |

4.Wiet van Dongen |
Hello everybody
My name is Wiet van Dongen, I am born in the beautiful year 1970 in the town Enschede. This is in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
I am a self-employed shepherd, owner of trainings centre Border collies & Sheep @ Work.
I bought my first border collie 7 years ago. Since then things went fast. I raise and train all my dogs by myself. I own 9 borders now in ages off 9 weeks till 7 years old.
Training dogs became a way off living.
This continental is my first big trial-event and I'm looking forward to gain experience for that. Blaze, the dog I qualified is a talented dog and I hope I can show his skills. I wish everybody the best for this CSC
I'm looking forward to know a lot of colleges and a Sportsman’s like event. |
